Records and Evidence Technician
The City of Fairmont is looking to hire a professional, detailed oriented and motivated individual, with a focus on quality customer service for the position of Records and Evidence Technician with the Fairmont Police Department. The Records Technician will provide professional administrative services to the police department and will be responsible for entering and maintaining department records and evidence in written and digital formats. The Records Technician is a full time position with typical hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. There is currently an optional nine hour shift that runs 7:30 am to 5:00 pm that allows for every other Friday as a scheduled day off. Starting pay range is between $24.74 and $27.94 per hour depending on qualifications. Eleven paid holidays and an excellent city benefit package are also included. Department Information
There are currently 18 full-time licensed officers and one civilian Community Service Officer within our department. Officers are assigned to a variety of rewarding assignments such as: Sergeant, Narcotics Resource Officer, Investigations, School Resource Officer (SRO), Regional Swat team members, Firearms instructor, Department Firearms Armorer, Field Training Officers (FTO), Community Outreach Specialists, and Work Place Violence Instructors. Fairmont Police Department also employs full-time licensed officers to work part-time to help fill shifts and special assignments.

The City of Fairmont has five lakes within the city limits, which offer numerous recreational opportunities. There is a four pool aquatic park with activities for all ages. The city has a series of bike trails and the extensive park system allows for many different hiking trails and other outdoor activities. The city recently completed a new soccer complex, and dog park. One of the city parks offers three 18-hole disc golf courses. There are numerous golf courses in the area and one in the city limits.
