Fairmont Police Sergeants

The Sergeants are uniformed patrol supervisors who are responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Fairmont Police Department.

General Duties

  • To ensure the quality of service provided
  • Respond to calls or incidents and coordinate efforts with other officers or agencies
  • In the absence of the chief or captain, the on-duty sergeant is responsible for the operations of the department
  • Sergeants review cases and reports to ensure that proper follow up and investigation is completed.
