Fairmont Police Department is happy to partner with area schools for the Adopt-A-Cop program. Each first grade classroom agreed to adopt an officer into their classroom for the school year. Officers visit with their classrooms at least once per month to interact and build rapport with students. During these visits, officers will speak with students on various safety topics, take part in classroom projects, read books, or enjoy lunch along with other activities.
